Dear Parents and Carers,
I do hope that you have remained cool and safe during this week's hot weather.
This week, the children have enjoyed a slight change to their usual routines and curriculum, with the added bonus of making full use of our pool. As one child aptly put it, it is "undoubtedly the best thing about our school!"
A huge thank you to Mr Cook for ensuring that the pool has been open from 9:00am each morning, allowing teachers to provide the children with extra swimming sessions or simply give them the opportunity to dip their feet and enjoy a refreshing break from the classroom.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents and carers for your support, understanding and kindness throughout this week's exceptional heatwave. We have made a number of adjustments to our usual routines, and your cooperation has been greatly appreciated. Your support has helped us to ensure that the children remained safe, comfortable and able to enjoy their time at school despite the challenging conditions. We have an incredible team of adults who work in our school, and my sincere thanks goes out to them too. Their professionalism, care and commitment have ensured that the children have been well supported each day this week.
Have a wonderful, slightly cooler weekend, and enjoy the opportunity to recharge after a busy week.
Here's to next week, when business as usual resumes and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to their normal routines.
Warmest regards,
Mrs. Beccy Andrews
