Members

Members are the top layer of governance at CKJS, acting as guardians of the charity and providing oversight. Our role is very much a final line of governance.

In practical terms, as defined in the Articles of Association, Members 'powers' are limited to important constitutional acts, such amending the trust’s constitution, and appointing or removing members and trustees. We also appoint external auditors and meet at the AGM to receiving the audited accounts.

The current Members are made up of former Trustees of CKJS with many years of experience.

We provide 'institutional memory' when this is helpful, for example providing guidance on process during the recruitment of the Head Teacher. Outside of the AGM we enjoying keeping in touch with the School through visits.
